Set in 2001, the touching coming-of-age Korean film 404 Still Remain, Our 5 Minutes follows seventeen-year-old Gyeong Hwan. After transferring from Yeongcheon to the highly competitive Suseong District in Daegu, the Japanese culture enthusiast struggles to fit in. Fortunately, he finds an unexpected connection with Jae Min, the class president who secretly shares his passion for Japanese music. As Jae Min helps him adjust, their bond deepens, leading Gyeong Hwan to develop unrequited feelings. Encouraged by Jae Min's honesty, Gyeong Hwan decides to share his biggest secret: he likes men. However, the confession backfires. Jae Min suddenly grows cold and distant, and hurtful rumors about Gyeong Hwan's sexuality quickly spread throughout the high school. Despite the painful isolation and social backlash, Gyeong Hwan's unreciprocated love for Jae Min stubbornly persists, capturing the bittersweet ache of youth.
